June 24, 2020. Host photo agency/Ramil Sitdikov via REUTERS Russian ruler Vladimir Putin is currently in the twentieth year of his reign – and he is not going anywhere. On the contrary, the Kremlin strongman has just staged a fig leaf referendum that will enable him to remain in power until 2036. Tellingly, in the weeks preceding the vote, Putin offered the Russian public no grand vision for the future of the country under his continued stewardship. Instead, the focus was firmly on the idealized past, with a parade celebrating the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany serving as the centerpiece of the entire campaign. This emphasis on history is nothing new. Throughout Putin’s two decades in power, he has consistently obsessed over perceived historical injustices while placing the rehabilitation of the Soviet past at the heart of both domestic and foreign policy. Many in the West were initially inclined to humor Putin, treating his attempts to rewrite history as a necessary part of Russia’s healing process following the humiliations of the Soviet collapse. However, Russia’s 2014 invasion of Ukraine and six subsequent years of escalating hybrid warfare against the Western world have cast Putin’s amateur history lectures in an altogether different light. It is now increasingly clear that when he defends the conduct of the Soviet Union, Putin does so not merely in order to repair battered Russian pride, but to justify his own authoritarian instincts and aggressive actions. When he praises the wartime alliance against Hitler and post-war cooperation between the victors, his real goal is a return to the days when spheres of influence allowed big countries to dominate their weaker neighbors. With Putin now completing the transition from democratically elected president to czar for life, the outside world can no longer avoid confronting the imperial ambitions that underpin his efforts to revise twentieth century history. Putin’s recent English-language articlein The National Interest was a masterclass in his use of history as a geopolitical tool. This 10,000 word epic on the causes and consequences of WWII contained many of the Russian leader’s favorite narratives. He defended the Nazi-Soviet Pact while blaming Poland and, to a lesser extent, the to a lesser extent, the entire Western world for the start of WWII. Soviet crimes against humanity such as the mass killings of Polish prisoners or the invasions carried out in 1939-40 with Nazi complicity were either passed over in silence or dismissed in the blithest of terms. The brutal annexation of the Baltic states, which was accompanied by a wave of executions and deportations, was described euphemistically as “the incorporation of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.” “Their accession to the USSR was implemented on a contractual basis, with the consent of the elected authorities,” Putin assured readers. Equally ominous was his enthusiastic treatment of the 1945 Yalta conference, where the leaders of the US and UK shamefully acquiesced to the Soviet post-war occupation of Central and Eastern Europe. According to Putin, Yalta “laid the foundation of a world that for 75 years had no global war, despite the sharpest contradictions.” This convenient characterization reflects Putin’s preference for an international arena where a handful of powerful countries decide everything between themselves. It also contains a thinly veiled threat of violence. There can be little doubt of the implied consequences if other leading powers fail to recognize Russia’s status. Email As the Putin era enters its third decade, there is every reason to assume that foreign policy revisionism will remain high on the Kremlin agenda. The recent referendum campaign amply demonstrated that Putin himself has little to offer domestic audiences in terms of economic or social progress. Indeed, the constitutional changes selected to camouflage his presidential power grab were overwhelmingly conservative in nature, ranging from patriotic populism to promises of more social payments. Such measures are unlikely to reverse the downward trend that has been evident for some time in Putin’s approval rating. This decline began in 2018 following a rise in pension age. Russia’s poor handling of the coronavirus crisis has further dented Putin’s standing as the country’s all-powerful and indispensable leader. With the energy-dependent Russian economy currently entering into what many expect will be a deep and protracted recession, the Kremlin will have fewer opportunities to buy back the loyalty of the population. These unfavorable domestic circumstances help to explain why Putin was in such a hurry to hold his recent referendum. They also make new foreign policy diversions increasingly attractive. There is no sign that Putin’s appetite for expansionist revisionism has been tempered by the deterioration in international relations that began with the Russian seizure of Crimea in 2014. May 21, 2019
The political observers who know the strengths of the Azerbaijani journalist Fuad Abbasov in Russia, believe that an ethnic Azerbaijani man, whose name is "Agadadash Karimov" [whose daughter has married with an ethnic Armenian man and he himself has taken the control of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Russia] is complicit in the arrest of Azerbaijani most distinguished journalist in Russia.
Mr. Agadadash Karimov, apparently, collaborated with the Russia, Armenian elements who exercise the extreme influences in the police agencies, succeeded to arrest him and detain him until May 28, 2019. Then, they will deport him to Azerbaijan. Mr. Agadadash karimov, apparently, did this collaboration in favor of Armenia [ the occupant country of the Azerbaijani Nagorno Karabakh and the 7 suurounding region].
Mr. Agadadash Karimov has no feeling to Azerbaijan and he feels himself as a Russian. Like many Russians, he supports Armenia and the armed forces of Armenia and the occupation of more than 20 percent of Azeri territories. The Khojali Genocide committed by Armenians, has no meaning for Mr. Agadadash Karimov.
Mr. Agadadash Karimov and his associates in different places have infected the diaspora of Azeri people in Russia with a kind of bacterial infection such as the Leprosy. The Azerbaijani diaspora in Moscow is a place for the secret infiltration by the political agents from the political powers in Moscow and Armenia.
Mr. Agadadash Karimov, apparently, is a real secret man with an Azeri name but an Armenian and Russian identity is behind the arrest of this famous Aerbaijani journalist.

On May 17, 2019, Mr. Abbasov was arrested by the political secrecy of Agadadash Karimov with Russian and Armenian influences. Armenians hate Mr. Abbasov because he shed light into the dark corridors of the Armenian Mafia in Russia and around the world.
Armenia is a client state of Russia and the Armenians in Russia have taken the controls of many influential offices, police, media (including RT), military, finance and economics. They influence the president Putin. Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Viktorovich Lavrov, paternally is an Armenian whose father was Viktor from the Tibilisi Armenians in the Georgian in the Caucasus.
On 22 May 2019, the website "kavkaz-uzel.eu" wrbites, "The journalist,
Fuad Abbasov, detained in Moscow, was accused of violating the immigration legislation. His advocate, Elman Pashaev, has reported the journalist's detention in Moscow, adding that during Abbasov's detention on May 16, the journalist was beaten up, the "minval.az" wrote on May 21."[1]
This site "Kavkaz-uzel.eu" cites Abbasov's lawyer, said Pashaev as saying, " Abbasov is accused of violating the immigration legislation; and on May 28, he will be deported to Baku. The journalist himself suspects that the customers for his detention are either members of the "Armenian lobby" or high-ranking officials from the Azerbaijani Diaspora." [1]
"At present, his custody conditions are normal. For the first two days he was not allowed to contact anyone. Today (on May 21) I gave him a phone; and now he is able to communicate," the "minval.az" quotes the advocate as saying
According to the information of this site: "At present, his custody conditions are normal. For the first two days he was not allowed to contact anyone. Today (on May 21) I gave him a phone; and now he is able to communicate," the "minval.az" quotes the advocate as saying." [1]
The Abbasov's detention was confirmed by Aflatun Amashov, the chairman of the Press Council of Azerbaijan, the "1news.az" writes. "It is known that he is accused of violating the immigration legislation. Fuad Abbasov is a well-known journalist and has always been known for consistency in his position," the "1news.az" quotes Mr Amashov as saying.[1]
According to the edition, "several Azerbaijani communities in Russia" had applied to a Moscow court demanding Abbasov's deportation.[1]
The website "www.eng.kavkaz-uzel.eu" informs this: "This article was originally published on the Russian page of 24/7 Internet agency ‘Caucasian Knot’ on May 22, 2019 at 06:20 am MSK." [1]
The political observers believe that the Armenian Diaspora in Russia and some traitors of Azerbaijan are behind the arrest of this world famous journalist.
Abbasov sees Agadadash Kerimov, who heads AzerRos Moscow city branch, as basically a traitor, because he allowed his daughter to (!!!) marry an Armenian man last year (which would also involve her converting from Islam to Armenian Christianity, btw) is, in Abbasov's view, consumed only with politically promoting and financially enriching herself and her inner circle, rather than actually genuinely representing and defending the interests of the Azeri community, the regular people. It's true. She is an ambitious lady. She was, among other things, closely involved with Putin's reelection campaign last year, helping ensure Azeri diaspora.
Abbasov sees powerful Armenian figures in the Kremlin media/propaganda apparatus, such as Margarita Simonyan, the head of RT.

The news agency "CONTACT.AZ" reports, "Baku / 22.05.19 / Turan: A protest rally was held against the detention of Azerbaijani journalist Fuad Abbasov in Moscow with the aim of further deportation took place in front of the Russian Embassy in Baku.
The protesters also condemned the use of violence against a journalist and demanded the punishment of law enforcement officers who committed these actions.[3]
According to this news, "Fuad Abbasov was detained as a terrorist in Russia, but several days had passed, neither the Foreign Ministry, nor other structures of Azerbaijan responded to this," said one of the protesters, Ramin Hajili.Police prevented journalists from filming the action and created other obstacles, the participants said."[3]

May 15, 2018
The president of the federal Azerbaijani Diaspora in Russia Mrs. Mehriban Sadigova supported the chairman of the regional branch of the organization, Agadadash Karimov, because he was a relative of Armenian.
The Azerbaijani diaspora's leader in Russia whose name is Mr. Agadadash Kerimov held a meeting with her daughter when she married with an Armenian which was condemned by of Azerbaijani diaspora in Russia.
Mr. Karimov, once again, reaffirmed his commitment to becoming a close relative with the Armenian community. He said that he is proud of himself that his daughter has been involved for this relationship with one Armenian.
Mr. Karimov gathered his supporters at a meeting. He noted, " The occupied territories of Azerbaijan by Armenian armed forces have nothing to do with him.
He added, ""I admit that I did not attend my daughter's wedding and my groom's wedding. But I wish I could."
Mr. Karimov goes on to say, " My family belongs to me. I'm not leaving my family in any case.
Mr. Karimov: "Those who have been killed in Azerbaijan in defense of their land against the armed forces of Armenia, have not been martyred because of me."
Mr. Kerimov states, "I'm not a person who fights for this cause. I do not feel that I have any responsibility to defend the territories of Azerbaijan against the Armenian troops.
Mr. Kerimov: "I am not a person who should protect Azerbaijan. They should be able to reach their own strengths and protect their own land."
Agdadash Karimov: "I am a Russian citizen. I have no responsibility to go to the occupied territories of Azerbaijan by the armed forces of Armenia or to protect the Azerbaaijani Nachchivan."
The most interesting thing is that Mehriban Sadikova, president of the Federal National-Cultural Autonomy of Azerbaijanis has justified the idea of the Azerbaijani Diaspora's president, Mr. Agdadash Kerimov, who has given his daughter to a person whose ethnicity is Armenian.
Mrs. Mehriban Sadikova: "Mr. Kerimov's daughter has married with an Armenian. I am against intervening among lovers."
Mrs. Mehriban Sadikova: " Love is free. At the same time, there should be no hostility between the Armenian and the Azerbaijani people."
Mrs. Mehriban Sadikova: "We must reconcile with Armenians and sit around a table. Again, we have to be beside each other with good and evil. The reason is history. We have lived as a friendly nation with each other."
According to the information, M. Sadigova has a special sympathy towards the Armenians.
At the same time, there are some evidences which say that Mrs. Sadikova's family members and also her close relatives are related to other nations.
It is worth to note that many influential Azerbaijani people are living in Russia. These Azeri people have representatives in the Azerbaijani diaspora. Some of these Azeri representatives in relation to Mr. Kerimov and Mrs. Sadikova have become the subject of discussion.
It is reported that Azerbaijani people who are living in Russia, in the coming days, will hold an action protest [ as a sign of protest against M. Sadigova and A. Karimova].
It has been emphasized that these Azerbaijani protesters will come together for demanding of the resignation of both Mr. Kerimov and Mrs. Mehribaan Sadikova.

Soyun Sadigov: "We have information that the president of the Federal National-Cultural Autonomy of Russians Mehriban Sadigova and Mr. Agadadash Karimov the chairman of the Moscow's regional branch of this Azerbaijani diaspora organization are both in close relationships with Armenians."
Soyun Sadigov said, "Karimov has always been close to Armenians."
Sadigov noted that he had earlier expelled Kerimov from AzerRos: "Everyone knows that Kerimov's wife is Armenian. Karimov's own relatives are also Azerbaijani. But we know that Aghadadash has always fallen to his wife - to the Armenian relatives. He has always been close to Armenian relatives not only to his Azerbaijani relatives. I was driving him out of AzRos in 2000. I dropped him away because he had an unpleasant attitude towards the nation."

Soyun Sadigov (the former president of AzerRos): "But he remained in the Moscow Regional Division of the National Cultural Autonomy of Azerbaijan. The reason is the law. I did not have the rights to remove him from the regional one. Only members of the organization could protest and demand resignation from the region. Therefore, it was clear who he was Mr. Agdadash kerimov. They were 5-10 people." .
Soyun Sadigov: "It seems that Karimov is one of the organizers of the anti-Azerbaijani campaign."
Mynews.az:
According to S. Sadigov, Karimov is one of the organizers of the anti-Azerbaijani campaign: "First, the question of his daughter's marriage to Armenians is directly related to the education in the home. Now go and God is happy. But Karimov's idea of Karabakh, about the occupied Azerbaijani lands, tells about his identity.

An Azerbaijani-Armenian roundtable was held in Moscow, Eurasia Daily reports.
Two Russian diaspora organizations in Moscow - Moscow's National-Cultural Autonomy of Azerbaijanis (AzMos) and Russian National Autonomy of Azerbaijanis (AzerRos) held a meeting in Moscow House of Representatives on March 12, 2019 with the participation of representatives of Armenian organizations in Moscow.
Attendees have addressed to the relevant bodies of the Russian Federation about the arrest and deportation of Misr TV journalist Fuad Abbasov.
At the roundtable meeting, AzamMos chairman Agadadash Karimov called Fuad Abbasov a false patriot and said he violated the activities of diaspora organizations in Russia.
In his speech, Karimov criticized the holding of the pomegranate holiday in Moscow as a pagan symbol. He also opposed the lifting of the Azerbaijani flag at various events in Russia.
Participant of the event, Nizami Guliyev, made a report on "Attempts to involve national-public organizations in ethnic conflicts" followed by the head of Fuad Abbasov's former consul general in St. Gudsi Osmanov.
Guliyev also warned Abbasov of his intention to create an Azerbaijani group in Russia. He said Fuad Abbasov was sent from Baku to the Russian Federation for security and sabotage.
Diaspora activist Azer Safarov demanded the release of Azerbaijanis from Karabakh from Russia. "If anyone wants to fight, let's go here, Russia is a peaceful place, and we all have the duty to keep this peace."
Safarov opposed Abbasov's name as extremist, adding that Fuad Abbasov is just a provocateur and the people behind him are sitting in the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration.
According to Safarov, Ramiz Mehdiyev, Ali Hasanov and others will be in power in Azerbaijan, and so will our headache.
A. Safarov said, "We do not want any problems here, and we live together as all brothers and sisters, and Fuad Abbasov constantly creates new problems for us."
He said that soon Russia's government officials should contact Azerbaijan and resolve the problem.
